"Our first back to back was in a Golf IV!
On Thursday April 2, LAURENT GARNIER opens the ball with an extraordinary opening program. A musical and scenographic novelty for which the chapiteau undergoes a metamorphosis. No more raised stage, no more distance: the ground becomes a stage, the audience a circle, and in the center, a cauldron. Like a DJ booth at ground level, open and surrounded, like a ring of light and sound. Laurent Garnier enters the dance, not as a perched legend, but as an alchemist at the heart of the crowd. House and disco intertwine throughout the evening. The chapiteau becomes a club, a club, a temple. From 8.30pm to 1.30am, it's a communion, a party that breathes and invades the dance floor. Radio Meuh opens the show, like a resident dj warm-up, inviting Laurent to melt bodies and hearts in house & disco mode all night long. Oh yeah!

Where and when did you first hear it?
Impossible to date. It's like asking me the first time I saw snow! Laurent Garnier is a subterranean presence, a figure who has always been there, in playlists, in memories, in nights. He has accompanied the history of radio, the history of groove, the history of dancing bodies. It's not a discovery, it's obvious. It must have been around the time of The Man With The Red Face, even if I wasn't yet very connected to this universe.

Friendship. Generosity. Roc (without the K. Like rock). His musical life and career are of exceptional alignment and quality. The man never gives up, always standing tall, with humility, class and discretion. And what we're about to experience that evening will be exceptional, with Laurent at the center, in touch, where every beat becomes a link, a shared vibration.
If this were the soundtrack to a daydream, what would it sound like?
The waking dream will be this evening with him under the chapiteau. A moment out of the ordinary, an old-school disco with the groove at the center. A custom-built, ground-level stage, with people all around, in front and behind. A super-open DJ booth at the heart of the dancefloor, like a glowing cauldron. The DJ is close up, in communion with the people. We bring everyone together, electrifying the crowd. And it's not even a dream, it's a programmed reality!
Any anecdotes about Line-up 's career?
It's the series of steps that led to this Line-up that's crazy... Festival Yeah and Radio Meuh Circus were born in the same year, just a few months apart. In the world of musical events, it's as if we were twins! A small delegation from home visited them for their first edition and left behind a few bottles of gentian, Radio Meuh T-shirts, hats, stickers... A few weeks later, in the middle of July, I received a photo of the Yeah gang dressed as Radio Meuh for the summer. That's how the idea of him coming to mix at our place started to germinate. In fact, when we put him on the bill in 2014, for our second edition, I was asked a lot if it was a hoax... You bet! For his first appearance and our first meeting, I played the runner to pick him up at the airport, all intimidated. And even after all these years of friendship, I still can't get over how quickly we clicked. Yep, our first back-to-back was on the car radio of my old Golf!
